8th May: Naomh Eoin Under 14s welcomed Grange to Robert Emmet Park in Clonmore on Tuesday night. The team managed by Hugh McAlinden, Seamus Murphy and Brendan McCormack looked every bit the match for their opponents and with less than ten minutes to go were a point up and looked likely to go on and win the game. Two Grange goals in quick succession changed the home team’s fortunes however fair play to the lads for sticking to their task until the final whistle when they were denied by the smallest margin. With the final score Naomh Eoin 0:15, Grange 3:07, had the Naomh Eoin boys taken half their chances they could have ran out easy winners.
