Clonmore is a small community situated on the banks of the River Blackwater with the River Tall running through its northern end. It is part of Armagh Banbridge Craigavon Council area. It is part of Dungannon Parish and it is in the Blackwater Electoral Ward. Clonmore was once the Barony of Oneilland West in the parish of Killyman.
Clonmore, from the Irish “An Chluain Mhór” means “The Big Meadow” referring to the meadow stretching along the banks of the river from one end of Clonmore to the other.
