For many weeks some of the children from the local area had been practicing routines for the show which took place in Clonmore Hall last Friday night. It was an amazing night with the children all treating the audience to a wide range of dance styles and routines under the watchful eye of their mentors for the past few months: Ailsa McGeown, Suzanne McKenna, Margaret Conlon, Kathleen Quigley and Cathy Grew. The hall was packed to capacity and the guest judges Fr Seamus White, Ms Cathy Jones and Mr Hugh McAlinden were astounded at the standard of the acts on the night.
The club officially launch their Strictly An Chluain Mhór event which takes place in Armagh City Hotel on Saturday 9th of June. The nine couples were unveiled, gave a little taster of their dance moves and were interviewed by compere Gerard Cunningham about their experience so far. The night ended with the children performing their group routine and receiving a small token of recognition of their hard work and achievements. Thanks to all who supported and assisted on the night.
